Our Story

Two Step Iris is a boutique iris business located in Amarillo, Texas. Family-owned and operated, we focus on the preservation of historic iris varieties and hybridization of own.  We also strive to foster a community of iris growers, welcome new comers, and encourage the next generation of gardeners. 

At Two Step Iris, we carry on in the "bootsteps" of those who came before us! Two Step Iris is run by the daughter and granddaughter of an iris hybridizer. In upcoming seasons, look for both new and historical varieties to become available through our online-only store, AND look for Two Step Iris to continue to specialize in creating unique iris varieties.

In addition to cultivating spectacular iris blooms, Two Step Iris promotes the beauty and excitement of iris through social media, podcasts, and iris-themed merchandise.
